News Bulletin
Many commonly used drugs have had shortages or periods of unavailability in the last year or so. Currently the veterinary profession is very concerned about a drug called Immiticide. This drug is the only option for treating HEARTWORM DISEASE in dogs. Currently it is unavailable through the manufacturer with no release date in sight. Due to this we are unable to treat any Heartworm positive dog. The only option is to put the pet on medications to minimize side effects and progression of the disease and hope for a speedy return of Immiticide to the market. PLEASE, PLEASE make sure your pet is tested and on prevention monthly!!

Senior Wellness Testing Programs
As people age, many diseases and problems can develop. The same is true for your pet. In fact, pets age much faster than we do. As early as 7 years of age they may start to show symptoms of illnesses we associate with aging. Some of the most common problems we see are in the following chart along with some signs. Long term prognosis is usually improved with early diagnosis and treatment.
We want you, our client, to understand the importance of early detection and monitoring of these diseases. The testing for these diseases can be costly and yet is very important part of the care of older pets. For all senior pets we recommend a twice yearly physical exam to check for any physical abnormalities. In addition, we are pleased to offer testing packages at a lower price. During the months of October and November, your pet can get a basic Senior Wellness package including a complete blood count, chemistry panel, thyroid screening and urinalysis or fecal for less than $100.00. A small price to pay for peace of mind. Because of the numerous studies and the frequency with which we see these diseases, we urge you to consider having your pet tested today
We are always accepting new patients. One of nicest things our clients can do for us if they are pleased with the care they receive is the referral of a friend or family member. As our thanks to you for your trust we offer a $10.00 credit towards your next visit and $10.00 off your friend’s first visit.
